Cancelled due to Exhaustion

Whenever an artist or celebrity has to cancel a performance it always makes me laugh that their publicist or press office will issue a statement that they are unable to commit to their obligations due to exhaustion.  I do believe that the gruelling pace and schedule these people have to keep up with can truly cause this, but it is such an over used excuse.

It would be funny if we could start using it in real life.  Do you want to come to the movies "Sorry I can't due to exhaustion" or Do you want to go to work today "No I can't do to exhaustion".  Anyway I thought it fitting that I try this on my blog.  I haven't had a blog post in a few days due to exhaustion. 

No the real reason is that I contracted a very bad viral infection (sounds lovely doesn't it) and was running a fever.  Anyone who has had a temperature in summer will be able to explain to you how bizarre this feeling is and how it makes you feel even worse!  The Doctor confined me to my house with panadol and water my only friends.  There are no antibiotics for this type of illness.

So there has been no trips to work - due to exhaustion - and therefore no dresses - as my pyjamas have been getting all the attention.  So I will have to move the rest of the butterfly dresses and continue them in the next week.

As I was missing out on Frock up Friday I was sad that there would be no group photo for the week .. but I received a little message on Friday on my Facebook page from one of the lovely girls at work with this photo!!  I was so touched that the girls at work didn't forget me and surprised me with a photo of them carrying on the Frock Up Friday without me!  Thank you girls you truly made my day!! I am so lucky to work with such thoughtful and beautiful ladies .. you guys totally Frock and I will be back next Friday to join in the frockness.
